Note — A current official route exists in FireRed and LeafGreen: The Nintendo Switch releases add the AuroraTicket after you enter the Hall of Fame. The original GBA event distributions are over.

Birth Island is on the PokéMaps Sevii Islands map, where FireRed and LeafGreen put it; the Hoenn map does not show Emerald’s copy. Start from Deoxys’s Pokédex page, Deoxys’s location page or Emerald’s departure harbor in Lilycove City.

The Birth Island puzzle solution: eleven presses

Stand below the triangle for the first press. After every jump, take the shortest path to its new position; an extra detour resets the puzzle.

Tip — Save before touching the triangle: Deoxys can return after a failed battle, but saving first avoids repeating the puzzle and ferry trip.
