Pokémon Emerald Battle Frontier Guide: All 7 Facilities & Symbols
Every Emerald Battle Frontier facility explained — each gimmick, all 7 Frontier Brains, the exact Silver & Gold symbol streaks, BP and the banned list.
The Battle Frontier is Pokémon Emerald’s post-game challenge park. It opens after you enter the Hall of Fame and contains seven facilities, each with its own rules, Frontier Brain and Silver and Gold Symbols.

Ground rules before you enter
Entry formats differ between facilities, but the shared restrictions are strict: no Eggs, no duplicate species and no duplicate held items. Ten legendary or mythical Pokémon are also barred: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi and Deoxys.
The seven facilities at a glance
| Facility | Gimmick | Frontier Brain | Silver | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Battle Tower | Straight streak battles | Salon Maiden Anabel | Battle 35 | Battle 70 |
| Battle Dome | 16-Trainer knockout tournaments | Dome Ace Tucker | Tournament 5 | Tournament 10 |
| Battle Palace | Nature controls move choice | Palace Maven Spenser | Battle 21 | Battle 42 |
| Battle Arena | Three-turn judged duels | Arena Tycoon Greta | Battle 28 | Battle 56 |
| Battle Factory | Rental teams and post-win swaps | Factory Head Noland | Battle 21 | Battle 42 |
| Battle Pike | Seven-room luck gauntlets | Pike Queen Lucy | Room 14 | Room 70 |
| Battle Pyramid | Dark survival floors and a Battle Bag | Pyramid King Brandon | Floor 21 | Floor 70 |
What changes in each facility
The Tower is the baseline streak challenge. The Dome shows opposing teams before each four-round tournament. The Palace lets a Pokémon’s nature choose its actions, while the Arena judges Mind, Skill and Body if neither side wins within three turns.
The Factory replaces your party with rentals and lets you swap after a win. The Pike hides battles, healing, wild encounters and status traps behind seven-room runs. The Pyramid gives you a special Battle Bag and gradually lights each dark floor as you defeat Trainers.
Earn and spend Battle Points
Completed streaks award Battle Points. Spend BP at the Exchange Service Corner on hold items, vitamins and decorations, or use it for repeatable move tutoring. Frontier Brain victories pay more than ordinary sets.
